Empowering Small Business Success: Elevating and Expanding Program Effectiveness
As a facilitator and coach for small business courses tailored to minority women, I evaluated and enhanced the program to better meet their needs, ensuring they are equipped to achieve their goals and attain more favorable outcomes in their entrepreneurial endeavors. I identified gaps and opportunities for improvement, specifically noting that the one-size-fits-all curriculum was not adequately addressing the diverse needs of all participants, leading to the restructuring of the program. I not only shared these insights and made recommendations on how to address them but also recommended and developed two new courses, "Emotional Intelligence" and "Think Like a Pro."
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Gap Identification and Improvement: I identified gaps and opportunities for improvement, with a focus on enhancing effectiveness and tailoring content to meet the varying needs of participants. Specifically, I communicated that the one-size-fits-all curriculum was not adequately addressing the diverse needs of participants. Sharing these insights with the organization resulted in a strategic change in the program's structure, along with the addition of classes to generate better outcomes.
New Course Recommendations: Recognizing a specific knowledge gap, I recommended the addition of two new courses, namely "Emotional Intelligence" and "Think Like a Pro."
Course Development and Facilitation: Taking ownership of the recommended solution, I not only identified the need for new courses but also created the curriculum, activities, and facilitated sessions for "Emotional Intelligence" and "Think Like a Pro."
Facilitation and Engaged Learning Experience: Beyond course development, I played a pivotal role as a facilitator, ensuring an engaging learning experience. My hands-on approach involved guiding participants to understand the intricate connection between Emotional Intelligence and their thought processes, emphasizing its impact on business success. Moreover, I provided practical steps, empowering participants to enhance their Emotional Intelligence and strategic thinking in actionable ways.
