DEI Initiatives for 2024
Advocate for the integration of a DEI initiative into the coaching and training programs for the year 2024. Specifically, within the context of supporting an advanced training program, this initiative is designed to enhance the representation of diverse individuals who participate, coach and serve in leadership roles within the program.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Advocacy and Proposal: Championed the need for a DEI initiative within the training programs, emphasizing its potential to bring a more diverse range of participants into the advanced training program.
Strategic Integration: Collaborated with leadership to integrate a DEI initiative into the 2024 strategy. Identified key stakeholders and scheduled initial meetings to formulate a comprehensive plan that aligns seamlessly with the program's objectives and overarching organizational goals.
Inclusivity Advocacy: Proactively sought out current individuals in the program who are in an underrepresented group to inquire about their interest in collaboration, feedback, and becoming advocates for this initiative.
Coaching and Feedback: Provided coaching and feedback to the Program Leader on effective approaches to introducing the DEI initiative, recognizing potential challenges with members who may not initially understand or support the initiative. Advised on strategies to secure buy-in from diverse perspectives and navigate potential concerns within the program.
